Stefan Pilz – Shopware Freelancer for Development, Consulting & Ongoing Support
About Me
My name is Stefan Pilz. I am a PHP and Symfony developer with a clear focus on Shopware. For my clients, I am not just the developer writing code in the background, but a direct partner for development, consulting, ongoing support, and long-term Shopware growth. I work under Stefan Pilz Ltd. and support merchants, manufacturers, and agencies with small improvements as well as long-term projects.
My technical strength is hands-on execution: plugins, integrations, theme and storefront customization, migrations, and custom business logic built on PHP and Symfony. At the same time, I do not think in isolated tickets only. I look at the overall shop, what is worth building, what stays maintainable, and what actually matters in day-to-day business.
That is why many clients use me as a practical Shopware end-to-end partner: from technical planning and prioritization to implementation, debugging, performance, technical SEO, updates, and ongoing support. When it comes to implementation, I write the code myself. When it comes to decisions, you get direct, pragmatic guidance instead of unnecessary complexity.
Core Focus Areas
Custom Shopware Development
Plugins, business logic, API integrations, and storefront or theme customization. Built on a clean PHP and Symfony foundation.
Support & Ongoing Care
Continuous improvements, bug fixing, release support, updates, and a direct technical contact for the daily operation of your shop.
PHP & Symfony
Clean architecture, dependency injection, services, events, and maintainable extensions built on the technical foundation behind Shopware 6.
Migrations & Relaunches
From Shopware 5, Magento, or WooCommerce to Shopware 6, with clean data migration and a realistic view of legacy customizations.
Performance & Technical SEO
Core Web Vitals, caching, indexation, structured data, canonicals, hreflang, and technical measures that support visibility and conversion.
Consulting & Prioritization
What is actually worth building, what can wait, and where does custom development pay off? I help structure technical and business priorities.
How I Work
Pragmatic collaboration
Short check-ins, clear priorities, and very little overhead. I adapt to your setup and deliver in useful iterations instead of long black-box phases.
Direct communication
You speak directly with the person who analyzes, decides, and implements. That saves time, reduces friction, and keeps projects clearer.
Transparent offers
Hourly work or clearly scoped fixed-price packages. Effort, priorities, and status remain understandable at all times.
Clean technical foundation
Maintainable, update-safe, and traceable implementation. Not only so it works today, but also after future updates and extensions.
Staging before launch
I test changes in a staging environment before they go live. That reduces risk and makes releases much more predictable.
Built for the long term
I do not think only about the next task, but about the ongoing operation of the shop. Decisions should still make sense six or twelve months from now.
Who I Work With
Online store operators
If you want one partner who can handle development, optimization, support, and technical decisions around your shop.
Agencies (white label)
Reliable technical execution, clean communication, and smooth integration into existing processes, teams, and client situations.
Startups & founders
From setup and MVP to a reliable Shopware foundation, with pragmatic guidance so early decisions do not become expensive later.
Mid-sized companies
For established systems, custom processes, and complex integrations. Shopware as a stable sales and service platform, not just a frontend.
B2B companies
With requirements such as pricing logic, role models, approvals, ERP integration, or individual purchasing processes.
If you are looking for a Shopware partner who does not just implement tasks but also thinks along, prioritizes, and supports your shop over the long term, let us talk.
